Industrial Modeling and Optimization:
Theory and Applications (iMOPTA)

The Industrial Modeling and Optimization: Theory and Applications (iMOPTA) is a one-day event, this year focused on Energy and Sustainability. The objective of iMOPTA is to present and discuss industrial innovation and the research behind it, and to connect industry and academia more actively. This new half-day workshop is grounded in a Lehigh University flagship conference, the Modeling and Optimization: Theory and Applications, (MOPTA).

Major Goals

We are designing iMOPTA to complement MOPTA, nurturing more applied research collaboration and providing a forum to present needs from industry partners and discuss academic developments and industrial potential intersections, highlighting academic research with high industrial impacts. The iMOPTA workshop is targeted towards:

  1. Promoting collaboration with the industry
  2. Creating new industry partners
  3. Participating in setting new industry standards
