Sabbatical

I was on sabbatical for the 2008-2009 school year. It was an amazing journey and I have many people to thank for the fascinating and productive year that it turned out to be. Below is a brief summary of my travels. I’ll be adding more information here about research projects evolving from my sabbatical travels as time goes on.

In the fall semester, I visited universities in Italy (primarily Università degli Studi dell’Aquila and Università di Bologna). At Università di Bologna, I was a senior fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies.

In the spring semester, I was a Visiting Lecturer of the Operations Research Society of New Zealand, visiting University of Auckland, Victoria University of Wellington, and Canterbury University in Christchurch for January and part of February. Next, I was hosted by Monash University in Melbourne and finished up at University of Newcastle.

Of course, part of being on sabbatical is a bit of touring. Below are links to some of the places I’ve visited from my travelog (or check out the calendar over to the right). Enjoy!
