Big Ride Day 5

Rest Day Spokane 2 miles Next Day Previous Day

Photos from Day 5

Well, in case you're wondering, the two miles was to the laundromat down the street. I got up pretty late today -- 7:30! I felt a little crappy from all the beer I drank last night. We had a light breakfast and then I headed to the laundromat with Scott -- with all our laundry strapped on the back of our bikes. The laundromat was actually really cool -- it had a little market and deli among other things built right into it. We ended up eating lunch there while our clothes were washing. I also managed to buy some postcards to send as well.

After the laundry, we washed out or water bottles and then got ready to head for the downtown. After waiting for the bus for half an hour, we finally got one of the staff to drive us down. The first thing we did was head for the library to get on the Internet. The library had a great view of the falls that are right in the middle of town. I was finally able to send an e-mail out to everyone on my mailing list letting them know what was going on. After that, we had some dinner at this excellent pizza joint. Getting home was pretty interesting. We weren't really sure which bus we had to take so we got on what we thought was the right one, but it turned out that it didn't go as close to the camp site as we thought it did. We had to end up walking the last mile or so to the school. But we finally got there and turned in pretty early to get ready for the next big day of riding. Tomorrow, we hit Idaho.
