Mixed-Integer Nonlinear Programming
I have been doing research on MINLP for the past three years. So far, the main outcome of this is an Open-Source software package called Couenne, which is part of the COIN-OR framework. I am also currently working on:
- linear relaxations of Quadratic Programming problems;
- linear envelopes of multilinear functions;
- heuristics for general MINLP problems.
News: a new Cyber-Infrastructure for MINLP, www.minlp.org, is available. The result of a collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University and IBM, it aims at promoting the modeling and solving of MINLP problems (see also issue #80 of Optima).
